Ermine

*Ermine as we call it in angoras is called frosty or frosted pearl in other breeds of rabbit. It’s a combo or
the agouti or martin gene plus chinchilla gene plus non extension gene. Color in ermines can vary greatly
depending on modifiers and possible umbros factoring. Ermine is also called white chinchilla by some.

Ermine- ermine can vary a lot some; are almost white with only a few hairs of color and others have a
creamy almond body wool with darker points like a pearl and agouti markings, all ranges of ermine have
brown or marbled eyes. Kits are born off white and develop color as they mature.
Genotype is A-B-cchd-D-ee or at-B-cchd-D-ee.

Blue ermine- Blue ermine can vary a lot, some are almost white with only a few hairs of colors while
others have a creamy body wool with blue points like a pearl and agouti markings, blue grey or marbled
eyes. Kits are born off white and develop color as they mature.
Genotype is A-B-cchd-ddee or at-B-cchd-ddee

Chocolate ermine- Chocolate ermine can vary a lot some are almost white with only a few hairs of color
and others have a creamy almond body wool with darker points like a Chocolate pearl and agouti
markings, all ranges of Chocolate ermine can have brown or marbled eyes with a slight ruby glow. Kits
are born off-white and develop color as they mature.
