It's very new but I think it is something that is going to grow quickly. I have only explained this to potential customers over the phone and it has been a hit for those that want to buy from us but not ready to bring a puppy home. We do not have a waiting list where you just put your name on a list and get contacted when a new litter is born. Our waiting list is for those who are 100% certain that they would like to purchase one of our poodle puppies and are not in a huge hurry to bring one home today. Please read this entire page so you know what to expect. No deposits will be accepted until you have complete understanding of how this works.
$100 deposit good for two years
We require a $100 deposit (payable by check, cash, or electronically) that is non refundable but has an expiration date set for two years from the date we receive it.
You will be added to our contact list for each litter that is born. You get to pick your puppy in the order your deposit is received. I notify everyone on the list when moms are due, in labor, and details on newborns once they are safely here. Once I know the litter is all doing well and we have no worries of any struggles or faders, I will begin to notify everyone on the list and sending out pictures, videos, and setting up facetime or video chat times to introduce you to the puppies.
If you choose to pass on any litter or puppy offered, we move onto the next person on the list. We give you 24 hours to discuss with your family once you see all of the puppies to choose from. Remember, if you choose to pass on the litter, your deposit is good for two years from the date we receive it. Not every breeding or litter is successful so we try to be fair to give you a chance to wait for your favorite colors and patters to be born from your choice of our poodle breedings. We will require the following information from you to write the contract for you: name, mailing address, cell phone number, email address, gender preference, color and coat pattern preference, and size at maturity you hope for. We do not set prices until puppies are born or even later when we can tell sizes better. We will post a price range in our contract that will be locked in so you do not have a price raised later on a puppy that you were unaware of.
$500 deposit to reserve
After you choose your puppy, we require a $500 deposit to reserve that puppy until it is ready to go home. Your $100 deposit applies to the reservation deposit so you will have to pay the difference of $400 immediately. Puppy prices are not always set right away. Once this $500 deposit is received, it is non transferable and non refundable with one exception. That exception is because we cannot always guarantee that the puppy will be 100% healthy and thrive. If for any reason, a puppy has a health concern or our vet finds a problem, we will be very transparent and relay this info to you right away and give you the option of transferring this deposit, keeping the puppy still, or a full refund will be issue by us to you.
Puppies can go home after 9 weeks of age
Puppies typically are scheduled for their first vet visit between 8 and 9 weeks of age but closer to 9 weeks normally. We have taken them later if they are really small. Our toy poodles are true toys and are very small. They receive the same amount of vaccination as a large breed puppy. We take this into consideration when we schedule them for their check ups. Most of our puppies get to go home between 9 and 10 weeks of age unless they are super tiny. We like to wait a week to a few weeks longer on the smaller puppies. Each puppy is judged individually for each move we make in vetting and releasing them. So I ask that you please be patient and understanding as all the decisions are based on what is best for puppy.
Puppies must be paid for before leaving us. If you pick up in person, we can take cash or an electronic payment (Apple Pay, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle). No checks are accepted for picking up. If you are unable to pick up in person, and your puppy goes home to you via flight nanny or ground transport, we will require payment in full a minimum of 48 hours prior to leaving us. This is due to people changing plans and disrupting other schedules of those involved. Also, I don't like having to harp on anyone to pay for their puppy at the last minute. If you fly in yourself to pick up the puppy, payment must be made before you take that pup on a flight. Keep in mind that some people (most) are in a hurry to get to their gate and get checked in so there is not a lot of time when I'm meeting at the airport.
How to know you can buy from us safely
We use Good Dog as a platform for selling our puppies. They offer safe payment processing through their company that guarantees you do not lose your money. This is a major plus for those who are not able to come in person and have the worry of being scammed. Good Dog does not allow anyone to get scammed! They will refund your money if you do not receive your puppy. If you find us on Good Dog, they require you pay through them. It is how they make their money and we are very fond of their program. They charge a fee to pay through them but again, they guarantee your safety on the transaction which I think is awesome! We live in a day full of con artists and scammers. I thought I was too smart to get scammed but it even happen to me when trying to buy from outside the US. Luckily I did receive my money back though. I cannot tell you how many of my customers have either been scammed or almost scammed before they found us. Please be very careful in how you deal with any breeder. We have even found people that have stolen dog photos to try and scam people with them on Facebook! If you see our dogs posted somewhere by a name other than myself, my family, or our kennel name, it is not us. I know friends can share posts and info but our puppies never leave our care to be sold by a third party!
